DEKO DEVINS
Senior Engineer, Project Manager
Since joining Azimuth in 2016 as an Engineering Intern, Deko has carved his advanced to a senior design engineer, project manager and lead estimator. Deko provides a keen focus on engineering quality assurance, electrical system design, and contractor management. He is a NABCEP-certified Solar Installation Professional and has worked on the engineering design for over 20 MW of solar projects and several microgrids. Deko has led the engineering and commissioning of over a dozen projects, including commercial rooftop PV arrays, utility PV farms with grid batteries, and PV carport projects. He has designed and managed solar, energy storage and microgrid projects in the US and the Caribbean.
Prior to Azimuth, Deko worked for the Washington University Office of Sustainability on its renewable energy expansion. He assisted in the management of building energy efficiencies and multiple distributed generation PV projects across the campus portfolio. His training includes significant expertise in solar-cell architecture and circuit design. This has made him a leader in microgrid controls, operation of circuit analysis software, AutoCAD design, PVSyst and Helioscope energy modeling, among other software design tools. His solar-energy areas of expertise are Power Electronics Circuit Design, Transient Analysis, Solar-PV System Design and Engineering Quality Assurance.
